My 911 post on PH so thought it would be rude not to start a topic.

Have always loved Porsches, especially the 911, am lucky enough to be on my third now.

First was my first ever brand new car. 2008 997.2 Carrera S

Ran it for two years and loved it, great al round car, just wished it looked a little more aggressive, needed a lower front spoiler.

Then decided to go for it big style and upgraded to a 2010 997.2 GT3RS, awesome car and certainly had a more aggressive presence than the Carrera S. Always wanted a car with a cage so this ticked that box as well but to be honest was a pain, ever tried cleaning the inside rear windscreen on a car with a cage? Ran her for 18 months then decided I didn't want so much money tied up in one car.

After selling her I decided to defect to the dark side and bought a mint Ferrari 355 Spider, missed not having a Porsche so started looking for another. I always liked the 997.1 in white, remember seeing the press cars when they first came out. As luck would have it a 2007 997.1 GT3 in white with black alloys, comfort spec with adaptive sports seats and 17k on the clock turned up at my local OPC. Absolutely love it, to be honest it's 95% the car 95% the time for half the cost of the RS. Also I think it's spot on looks wise, more aggressive than the Carrera S but not as in your face as the RS. Adaptive sports seats are great and not having the cage in the back offers more flexibility. Here she is with the 355 and my Clio 200 Cup daily driver.

Have now sold the Ferrari as it was just too good to use 1999 with only 15k on the clock, went to a collector in London.

What next for me and 911's? Keeping the 997 for sure, as always on the lookout for a 996 Turbo 4, had the chance of a nice one but went for the 355 instead, also for a nice 996 GT3, currently looking at one closely. Got offered a build slot on a new 991 GT3 but turned it down.

Possibly toying with the idea of a 991RS in Mexico or Riviera Blue, but not sure I want that much tied up in one car. Would look epic though!

Got a range tester day I'm March at Porsche Experience centre, looking fwd to a go in the 991 Turbo.

Hope you enjoyed my little 911 history there, also if you eve get chance to visit the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart go for it, did it in September 2012, was awesome!
