I don't own a 996 at present but I believe options will be;

1) Porsche own seat
2) Recaro start (quite old and heavy now)
3) Jane Montecarlo

I used the Jane Montecarlo 'RI' (ISO fix version) in my Cerbera and it just fitted. I got the idea from seeing it in a 997. Don't think you would need the 'R1' version unless there are points back there which I doubt.

It's a great looking light modern seat. Washable too.

Maxi Cosi usually have something suitable. I've used the Rodi in the 996 and 997, albeit coupes.

I've just bought a forward facing seat for the rear of my 996 from Porsch-apart via eBay. It is a gen Porsche seat, not sure of the model but will pop back on here to inform once it arrives.

Our two (5 & 4) don't spend a huge amount of time in the back, but are on halfords basic booster seats (about £6 each).

i don't know if it helps, but the rear squabs are only held in by velcro

My two were 5.5 & 7.5 when I bought my 996 Coupe, they went on £12 halfords boosters which fitted lovely with the seat bases removed.

My daughter is 2 and a half, we've got the Porsche car seat. Fits perfect, as you'd expect. Plenty in eBay usually.

Tred maxi cosi tobi and although it just about fitted, there was no leg room as can has less room in the back, the seat backs are bolt upright too!

Porsche seat lets you have a passenger in the front too, bonus smile

Mine is 997 but can't see 996 being any different.
