Right guys love my 2002 silver turbo but would love some different wheels on it. Firstly I'm looking and hoping that gt2 or gt3 wheels will fit;0/
Seen some gt2 wheels on ebay and they look just amazing ( love em)! But from listing it says they wont fit mine they are front 8.5 rim width rear 11.rim diameter 18 offset front 40mm rear 63 mm
Just getting into turbo ownership had mine since jan 2014.
So I'm looking for info on which gt3 or gt2 wheels will fit my car & just to throw another spanner in the works 18 inch or nineteen inch

I think the 996 GT2 alloys should fit a 996TT without any problem. These would be 18". The GT3 is a narrow body so the offsets are likely to be wrong.

I'm a big fan of the later GT2 alloys- shame they are so rare/expensive!

By later do you mean 997 gt2 wheels or a later model 996?

I was never happy with the wheels on my gen 1 997 Turbo so I embarked on a very slight paint mod that I feel changes them greatly.... ( sorry if I have partially hijacked your post on this but thought it may be of interest.... )

yes

There's actually a few versions of these: the 996 GT2.2 versions (12" wide at the rear), the 996.2 GT3 ones, and also apparently a version specifically as an option for the turbo/C4S in their size+offset

Like you say, very rare though.

OP- I agree. The only thing I didn't like about my 996 turbo were the wheels. There aren;t many replacements though that suit the 996t

Here's a thread which might be useful.
