Ive landed on trying to obtain a stock 996 GT2, so message goes out to anyone who knows of one for sale. My preferred spec ( I know there are only around 110 examples so cannot be too picky )

Condition A1, e.g. no stories, original panels etc
Low Miles as possible for my budget
Standard ( nothing with engine upgrades )
CS or Comfort
Budget is maxed out at 55 hence I cannot afford the one at Mr 911

PM me if you wish to discuss offline

Have you bid him £55k?, that was the link i was about to post until i read the end of your post, he has had it a while without it selling, i'd say £55k is about right for it.

Drop EVOeng a PM he knows most of the UK cars, and may know of some that could be available but not advertised.

They are thin on the ground as people are finding out.

Fantastic car!

What's not to like about a 996GT2?

Probably biased as I own one, but they not only look the dogs dangly bits, but they go like a freight train as well!

Very special 911 with lots of bespoke parts.

Enjoy the hunt.

Your in trouble now, this is in danger of turning into a photo thread to keep you focused on the search.

Don't buy one, because after a GT2 there isn't much that can replace it.

Was it a car they sold previously to a chap just over a year ago? Did it have a black spoiler and black mirrors when it was previously sold, might of even had a black GT2 sticker on the side if it is that car I saw it at the Silverstone Classic last year the buyer had Henry paint the parts back to silver I spoke to the owner who had from memory come out of a lambo. If it is this car then it was discussed briefly on here, don't think there were any horror stories.

I think you will be pretty safe buying a car from 911V they have a good reputation on here, although I have no experience with them personally. Get down there and take a look they will go over the car with you.

Do you happen to have a pic of your front end showing the number plate plinth (support)? Mine is slightly angled forward - is that how they hang?

Cheers.

It sits quite low on the bumper, it doesn't angle down though.
