Hi All

Thanks very much for all of the advice and feedback on my previous post.

I thought i'd just pop another thread up as I'm struggling to find the car I'm looking for. I'm registered with all of the major search sites, and regularly (daily!) check the specialists recommended here (911 Virgin, Paragon etc.) - but stock seems low at the moment.

So - if you do know of anyone looking to part with their 997.1 Turbo, do let me know. I'm pretty specific on spec:

- Must Haves: Manual, Grey (preferably Slate, but would consider Atlas), Black Leather
- Ideal: Adaptive Sports Seats, 08 registered

My budget is probably up to £45k to £50k for a low-mileage example.

Any tips gratefully received!

Your budget may be a little tight for a 2008 car with low miles from one of the respected independent Porsche retailers. 911V had a silver low mileage (25k ish I think) turbo in a few weeks ago and that sold for about 45k almost as soon as it was listed.

Thanks Matt.

Just to clarify - I would be very happy with either an 07 or 08 model, and I'm also quite flexible on mileage (I'd probably be willing to go up to 50k miles - although I'd expect this to come in towards the bottom end of my budget based on research so far). I'm firm on the colour combination and manual gearbox though!

Looking around there do seem to be some good examples in black that meet this spec for the right budget, so I'm hoping it's only a matter of time before a grey one comes up.

Hi Stuart

I know what you mean about holding on for a car you would like. I was looking for the right car since September last year. I wanted a cobalt manual car that had been well looked after with a good health check re over revs. I also in the end wanted to buy from one of the well known Porsche Indy dealers for peace of mind. I have had my car for two weeks now smile I brought it from 911v and could highly recommend them Tom and crew have been fantastic.

Same here, searched for about six months to get my turbo. Had a very specific spec in mind. In the end I stumbled across it at a Ferrari dealers of all places! Keep looking, it will be worth the wait.
