Thank you very much.
Nice car, Comfort seats though, so the price needs reducing by 50%.
It will be needing a £15k overhaul/refresh as it's an old car now.
Suggest you contact GT transmission in The States, they'll be able
to provide you with some gears far better suited to UK road use.
You'll most likely find the cheap and nasty engine rather lacking in torque too,
Manthey do various larger capacity conversions that should eradicate
that issue, failing that you may consider turbocharging.
All the above may leave you thinking this GT3 is overpriced, and you'd
be right. I 'd bid no more than £20k as that's where I see these incredibly flawed cars
currently in the marketplace.
But personally I think you're barking up the wrong tree. You'd be better off
getting yourself a Cayman R, everyone knows they're the best car in the world.
They're faster, better braked, better handling, more engaging and tactile to
drive than any GT3 (including the 991 version) they're also a hardcore car that
will see off a GTR on the bumpier, twisty roads outside my front door.
So there you have it, you thought a GT3 might be the car you wanted in your garage,
but what you actually need is a Cayman R.
Next.
Apologies to the OP, I realise the above is of absolutely no help to you whatsoever.
P.S The above are my unbiased views (so don't bother quoting me. At all, ever) but I'm never wrong, so if I say the CR IS
the best car I've ever owned, you can rest assured it will be the best car you've owned too ;-)

I agree with none of the above, you should by an AUDI TTRS It will be needing a £15k overhaul/refresh as it's an old car now.

Don't mention crazy prices.
Just remember:
1. You don't have to buy
2. Traders have a right to make a living!

1. True, but it does look a nice car, although 5 owners would put me off...Just remember:
1. You don't have to buy
2. Traders have a right to make a living!

2. £2k in a few weeks is making a living, £10k is taking the piss!
3. This market is crazy, it'll be low £50s later this year...
It's funny how the same people keep talking the Gt3 prices down, saying they are crazy prices etc are the ones who want to buy one...
Yellow 997 club sport sold at JZM for £67k this week within a day or two with 31k miles so this seems faily priced, meanwhile the three 997 RS cars for sale are between 88-100k.
I'd suggest that as they are identical engine and running gear wise to the standard GT3 with a wider arse and plastic rear window, big wing and a different flywheel, it makes the vanilla car a bit of a bargain at the moment.

Why are the prices crazy? All GT3's are highly desirable cars made in very limited numbers. What else is there similar? A cooking 360/F430? Costs treble the amount to run and are full of (Italian) electronics. Even a new M3/M4 is touching the £70k mark with a few options, and that will surely depreciate more given there is no production limit. Seems to me that the high price whingers are those that have missed the boat and instead of crying into their beer should go out and get themselves a Cayman R or Spyder, as these will most likely be next models to begin a price hike.
Agree 100% with the two posts above. The cooking GT3 prices may not head for the stratosphere like the earlier RS cars but they are not going to be £50k anytime soon. The new cars (including the GT3 IMHO) are nothing like the previous generations and, especially in the case of the GT3 cars, people have realised you won't get anything like them form Porsche again. I'm sure the 991 GT3 RS will be epic if you want to go a million miles an hour without even having to slow down for any of the corners but there's a big demand for the older stuff and limited supply, which only means one thing for prices.

On the flip side it's funny how the same people keep talking the GT3 priced up, saying they are fairly priced etc are the ones who own or want to sell one...
You either believe we're in a bubble or not. GT3's may weather a downturn better than other overvalued models!
While I couldn't afford an RS I bought a 997.2 GT3 CS a month or so ago. I paid slightly more than I thought it is worth...
However, there are only 160 997.2 GT3s in the UK and I'm guessing circa 40-60? CSs. It is the last manual Metzger GT3...
There has only been one for sale (comfort) in the last month or so and now none.
I can't believe prices will crash, soften maybe but not crash.
