Hi guys, been lurking around for a while now as i am on the mkt for a 997 C4S Convertible . Did some research to my question but did not find any recent post on this topic.

Said that i am Focusing on the first batches of PDK cars, so late 2008-2009, after few weeks of research i am still very confused.. Official porsche dealers would offer this kind of cars (all pretty much with the same specs, sport chrono, PCM 3.0 etc) at a very wide range of prices, cheapest around 48k£ for unlucky colour combos, more cars in the 50/52 area, and newest cars offered in the 55/60 range. who knows how negotiable these prices are!

Reputable Indy dealers seems to offer these cars in the 44/47k £ area...

I actually have on the radar a car coming from private, 2009 model, 2 prev owners, 30k miles and few months of porsche warranty balance left...... what do you think is the fair value of the privately for sale car? What could he get from a dealer? and how much should i offer him? any advice is more than welcome!!!

cheers

at a wild guess, assuming reasonable spec and colour combo, £38-40K

Sutton Coldfield have a very highly specced Black/Black PDK C4S for £47,997. In my experience you can get £1500 knocked off with some good haggling. Mix that with £3K worth of warranty, £1K prep and £2.5k margin you are sub £40K already.

thanks mate, saw that car, interiors are a bit "heavy" for my taste but seems very nice.....

Seems good to me. Bought a coupe C4S a few months ago and paid £52k with a few thousands less miles than that from an OPC.

I looked at independently sold ones but the one i bought had brand new tyres, brand new brakes etc. - the additional cost paid for itself.

I believe PSE is approx. £1800 - I would discuss maybe getting it fitted instead of a discount on the car as its cheaper for them and more value for you smile
