Which Car

I am going off the idea of getting a Ferrari F430. They are great cars but if I don't want to have to get a second car then a Porsche is the brand to stick with as a daily driver.

Now which Porsche would you recommend after selling my 997.2 C2S PDK?

997.2 C2 GTS PDK
991 C2S PDK
997.2 Turbo PDK

I have noticed that the price of early 991 3.4's are similar to a GTS, but I suspect the GTS will hold it's price better. I always thought my 997.2 was fast enough so it's not the speed that would draw me to a turbo but the styling.

Buy a manual and have some fun.

I would keep what you have, some times a change is just a change, better the car you know imo. Vs the cars you are looking at.

Or take a drive in the R8 v10 plus the plus is a stonking drivers car and so fast .

997.2 GTS Manual or 991 C2S PDK (or C4'S' if you can stretch to it) - IMO

Not sure what I'd replace my 997.2 C2S with. I guess I'd drive the three you suggested.

I've had a 997.2 PDK & manual in the past and also a 996t, and after going back air-cooled for a short while, I've just purchased a 991 C2 PDK with sports exhaust and loving it. For road use the C2 is plenty quick enough and the sports exhaust gives the sound a bit more aggression.

The big thing for me with the 991 is the more modern interior which I'm sure you'd appreciate after the 997.

They're all great cars, but give the 991 a try and see what you think.

The "retro" & functional interior of the 997 attracts me more than the blingy stuff, but the 991 is a superior car. No-one ever mentions the interior of the 993.964 et al.

Another vote for trying the 991C2S . I also had a 997C2S pdk before the new car is a step up in all departments IMHO. it's everything I want from a road car, performance, handling, comfort, practicality and noise with PSE.

I tried the R8 but found it incredibly wide, which of course it is compared with the 991, one of things I love about the car is chasing it round country roads and not worrying if there's room for oncoming cars.

997 GTS manual every day. 991 wont be far off the Audi size....and weight. Big cars now

997 GTS PDK would be my top pick of those. I prefer the looks of the 997 over the 991, especially the rear end. But would like to drive the 991 first though, as I could be swayed if it was amazing. I will probably end up with a similar dilemma when swapping my 997.2 C4S in a couple of years time. My main worry with the GTS is that it won't be much of a change. Unlike you I dislike the Turbo styling, which puts me off the whole car. The immense power is the only attraction for me, so I'd probably try a 997.2 Turbo to see what they are actually like on the road.
