The Porsche was out of control, he had a young passenger in the car and later in the day he spun through a row of cones separating the cars from the lorries which were being driven by members of the public.

GTR = Driving God with hairy back, gold medallions and going one-step further than us P drivers will ever attain (except maybe Apollo just because), Gold signet rings?

Tractor crossed the line before both of them.

I was driving on the day and didn't notice anything too bad from the GT3 on the runs I did.

Not sure I'd be happy with trucks and tractors in such close proximity to the track eek

GTR was driven by me, no hairy back, no gold medallions,no signet rings, but an experienced ARDS instructor who's had a successful race career so could be called a competent track driver, although I'd be reluctant to say "driving god".
I'm not having a dig at all GT3 drivers however considering the location, ie trucks driven by members of the public next to the passenger rides, and the fact that he had a young passenger in the car, I felt the driving was questionable. He also managed to spin the car at the end of the main straight into the truck lane.

All that and you couldn't just have had a quiet word on the scene if you were concerned about the young 'un?

I must say, the worst thing I saw in the video was how close you were following through some of the corners which you realised when he got the back end out a tad if you want to bang the drum of safe driving with kiddies on board.

No doubt that as an ARSE ARDS (iPad type-o) instructor you'll be right just as the IAMS lot are...

Alas, see if you owned a rwd car, the less driving aids you get, the more 80's porn/movie/magnum look you get.

Instead, as its a playstation car, you get spots and a lil rat growing from your chest ;-)

i was there too. its a ASDA charity day, the idea is you take passengers out for a fee, do a steady lap to show the cars capabilities, not at full track pace.
its just a jolly really and a good event for a good cause. dont think there has ever been any accidents.
i did witness the gt3 spin at the end of the straight, but i guess only the owner can answer why.

Am I the only one in thinking that there was more to the mishap at the chicane than just driver error? scratchchin
