996tt economy drive. How stupid was I?
Discussion
So I have several 2000km round trips coming up. One thing and another and more than one person and last minute decisions ruled out planes and trains. So I have an economical small car and thought why not for the adventure. So ferry tickets booked. Then man Maths and the thought of all the costs for servicing etc why not use the porsche and drive economically...... So 800kms at 30 mpg and the round trip at 29 mpg. Never ever again.... What is the point of buying this car and running it like a golf? I am very angry with myself and promise to use it as intended in the future. Very sorry everybody.

Motorway miles are a very boring way of putting mileage on a Porsche. To be honest I find that long trips in foreign countries are half of what a porsche 911 should be. It certainly makes countries smaller. I can understand the comment in over congested England, but in other countries where you can stretch its legs it's great. I have a great memory of a sunrise in France, the kids and missus asleep and full focus on my part for a good hour. Are we there already?
But to do 75/80mph for hours on end is mindless and I have learnt my lesson.
