I am registering my 2002 996 in France.
The car is fitted with xenon headlights but I need to change to LHD units
The cost to buy LHD xenon units is between £2400 and £3000
The cost of halogen units is about half!
Now the question. Will the existing plug fit the halogen units?
Thanks

Do they not have the switch on the back to switch them to LHD like the 997 do?

Yes they do BUT that does not turn them into LHD lights.
I believe that it just lowers the beam but does not change the direction of the dip.
The car may pass the control but it is not guaranteed to!
I want to have my backup in place .....

I'm no expert, but I think the Litronics are wired differently to the halogen lights. Don't think they're plug and play so you may have some work to do to get them operating properly. Obviously fitting replacement Litronics should be fine.. Happy to be corrected.
