How safe is a 996 Turbo/C4 in a road offset crash?

A curious question - I understand that the 996 C4 chassis is stiffer ( more metal structure ) than a C2. How safe is a Turbo or C4 in a road offset crash relative to a C2?
And a more general question, how safe is a 996 in a road offset crash compared to a similar size and weight 5-star car, such as a mid-00s Renault Megane which is considered to be one of the safest small car you can buy?

Just before I bought my 03 Turbo -- after my 08 Cayman S was struck just at the driver's side front wheel which totaled the car (the impact was hard enough both air bags went off) -- there was a guy in a Turbo who got t-boned -- on the driver's side no less -- by a Jeep traveling at around 45 to 50mph. The Turbo driver suffered some injuries. IIRC a broken ankle, a cracked rib, some bruises, but survived a horrific side impact collision relatively unscathed considering. A pic of the car showed the Jeep didn't intrude that much into the passenger cabin. Pretty impressive the Turbo kept the Jeep out of the cabin even with the impact at the driver's side door.
Generally speaking, I would prefer to be in a Turbo in an accident rather than a C2 but of course there is no way of knowing how one will fare in either car. Some have survived horrific accidents in lesser cars and some have not survived less severe accidents in better cars. Luck plays a role.
