Anyone running this set up? I've just put it onto my 964 and have to say it's louder than anything I've ever heard on a car. It's completely anti social and hurts your ears if you are caught behind it.

I'm going to try the various options of putting the cat back on and putting the back box back on. What are people generally running on 964s?

Hiya,

I've done all sorts of variations including the one you describe. Have ended up with just the RS pipe on my 964 C2, best blend of Porsche noise and liveability.

If you are Bucks/ Oxon way, happy for you to pop round for a listen.

Cheers

I have just the G-pipe as a mod from standard and it's a pretty good noise from the drivers seat.

Tempted to de-cat but not sure it's a great plan - I'm planning to be at Silverstone Sunday Service - if you're there it would be good to compare?

I'm having it changed back today. It's honestly way way too loud. The noise on the over-run is just absolutely nuts.

That's what I've heard - best noise is from replacing the primary silencer with a bypass - "cup pipe". I went for a G-pipe this time as my secondary silencer had split & too far gone to repair.

Decat and Cup for me which is loud but not rediculous. My specialist allways passes comment at service time... "sounds lovely this one" and he is no schmoozer.

For £60, the S/S decat pipes on Ebay are excellent (no affiliation).

I've gone decat and sports pipe in the end. Much more liveable, but the overrun on the g pipe and decat was something else.
