I'm looking to put some coilovers on the 964. Options appear to be Bilsteins, KW and H&R. Anyone got any experience on the best setup for road use?

Thanks

Updated mine earlier this year - Bilstein shocks plus H&R springs (red) although I think the revised matching springs are now purple.

Works very well for road use - car turns well, ride is fine.

By 'coil over' do you mean new dampers and springs?

What are you trying to achieve and how are you going to use your car?

What I really need is height adjustable suspension. I have wider wheels going on the car and need to raise the height of the car. The old ones are buggered. I'll use it on the road only.

Thanks. I've opted for the KWs.

I have had Bilstien PSS10 and KW clubsports on a 964.

If you have already made your decision on KW you probably won't appreciate my opinion….

Bugger. What was the problem?

No real problem I just think that Bilstien make a better product with more consistent quality.

It does depend on the driving you want to do with the car however. I had KW Clubsports on my 964 c2 but this was pretty much an all out track car. I liked them but had issues with the rears and movement within the shock. KW pretty much were not interested.

I went for Bilstiens pss10 on a later 993c2 and was impressed with the quality and also the ease of adjustment.

I have now just put PSS10 on a 964, albeit a Turbo. If you can get to South London/Surrey area I will be happy to take you for a spin and show you the adjustment etc.

I also have PSS10s on my 964 C2 (installed last year) and very very happy with the results on the road - never tracked it and don't intend to.

Cheers

I have the 964t dialled back to 3 from soft rear and midway at 5 on the front. With new top mounts, bushes, tie rods, ARBs etc this is plenty firm enough for the road.

I could easily dial up for the track if needed.
