I unpluged the exhaust bypass valve on my 997 a while back and the sound is much improved. But I am now thinking of buying 991s with sports exhaust, is this little trick still possible on the 991?

IMHO no need to do this - the sound is way way better out of the 991 PSE - i have had 997 Gen 1 PSE - that was good , 997.2 PSE poor, 991 - is bang on ...!

I'm just out of a gen 1 997 and had the exhaust unpluged. The 991 siunds nice, but I was hoping to unplug in the same way for more of a good thing. The only problem is I can't even find the engine now! So a simple unplug looks unlikely?

I had a 997 with an unplugged PSE and I thought it sounded great, but I must admit when I drove the 991 2GTS I found the PSE far too quiet even with the exhaust button pressed, so would also be interested in how to "unplug" on a 991. On 997 you could either disconnect the solenoid connector or chop and seal the vacuum pipe. Is it the same on 991?
