Unless I'm mistaken my 996.2 Carrera 4 should have one touch windows and I'm sure it did when I first test drive it. I believe the battery was disconnected in the meantime and now they don't work. Is there an easy fix at all? Also should they be one touch up, down or both?

Run windows up to top, release the switch and press and hold up again - this will reinstate the one touch memory stop.

996 one touch down both sides, one touch up driver's only (boxster has up both sides due to rules on 2+2 legislation in US or some such nonsense)

I've got a 996.2 C4

When resetting the windows I keep the button pressed to run the window down to the bottom and keep it pressed for a further 10 seconds after the window has reached the bottom Then keep the button pressed while the window is going up and for 10 seconds after the window has reached the top.

Both windows are one press down and up, including the passenger window.

I had the same problem after flat battery so I depressed window down then back up again and held it in the up position when window was closed for approx 10 seconds ( on both windows) mine are both one touch operation again

Still can't get it to work. Does it make a difference if you donit on both windows at once?
