991 gt3 rs will have a manual gearbox!
Discussion
I have just phoned my local OPC here in Germany and no technical data will be released until the day the press are informed. He indicated that it is highly unlikely that a manual will be offered as the GT4 covers this base now. He expects it to be priced at €190,000 (around £140k on todays exchange rate). The 3rd week of March he expects to know more and that I am to phone back in the 2nd week to reserve a car. There is no such thing as a LOI or a deposit over here but he stated that when Porsche sell their special cars a signed document is required to ensure it is not sold on within 6months/10,000km (this prevents all the speculators according to him).

What happens if speculators sell on anyway? How could this be enforced?Richie200 said:

when I spoke to an opc in Germany about a month ago they did mention the rs could have a manual as an option and that there was no way i would get one as they already had 15 signed lois and were exp, ecting only 9 cars. need to call the guys i bought my car from, although when i was there a few months ago it did sound like the car was pretty much spoken for already. they did also say getting a gt4 is no issue at all if i want oneRawhide said:
