I think I know the answer to this, but just wanted to get a 2nd (and 3rd/4th etc) opinion. Is there any real need to carry out a bore-scope inspection on a Gen 2 997? I know that the Gen 1 cars have the potential for bore score, but I haven't heard anything about Gen 2 cars suffering. The car in question is a 3.6 Carrera.

Cheers

There have only been a very small number with the bore problems, but it would not hurt to get it looked at,for piece of mind.

Thanks for the replies - general consensus from speaking to other places too is that it isn't really an issue to worry about.
Have taken the plunge... <gulp>

I'm not one to underplay the bore scoring issue but jeesh.
