Sorry to trouble you.

Am thinking about buying a 997. Looking at an early one for around £25.

My question is I have a 2 and a 4 year old, do car seats fit in the back ok, or do I need to get special Porsche ones? Does anyone have any experience of this?

Thanks for looking.

Cheers
Jez

On a more sensible note,

I have a 4 year old who's booster seat with seat back fits in the rear seat no problem.

The only issue is how tall your children are...

My lads quite tall for a 4 year old so the front seat has to move forward to allow him to swing his legs around like he does

Thanks for that, don't buy them all though, leave one for me!!

I've found quite a few 2005/2006 997's for around the £25k mark. Full Porsche history around 60k on the clock. I like the carrera s.

Anyone else have one with small children??

Just in case you go the cab route, I think the seating space in the cab version is not as good as the coupe version but these days there are such an abundance of child seats available that you can just go to any store and try them in the car until you find one that suits.

From experience, the ones with pull out cup holders are only good for the front seats if your using the holder, the rear seat transmission tunnel is in the way for that type and won't open but its no big deal.

If your midlands/worcester based your more than welcome to come sit your little ones in my car and see what you think. only because I have a seat in there already, so you can't exactly go to a dealers unless you take a seat with you.

I think the later Gen2 models have isofix but may be out your budget

Worth a search for numerous threads. Maxi Cosi Rodi is what I used.

Thanks r1 flyguy. A kind offer, I'll check out the dealer first with my seat to see if it fits. If not might check your set up, I'm in Woodstock.

Thanks again
