Mine is dead as a dodo and won't hold charge. What can people recommend to replace it?

Voltphreaks - expensive but light with auto shut off giving you crank power when needed.

Ta. What "type" should I be getting for S4 or S5? Seems like there are oversize ones for S4 which are type 019, or regular sized which are 013? Cold cranking amps seem to be lower for the smaller one....

I bought a Bosche one from GSF. I took my old battery in to compare because it felt like a very snug fit when extracting it. I think the Bosche one that I found recommended on here was physically a bit larger so i was paranoid it wouldn't fit. GSF found another one whose size was identical to the Porsche battery but more powerful, so I bought that.

If you have the Porsche warranty still you'll have to go for that MOLL rubbish else they'll reject a claim. I had to downgrade an almost new Bosch to the MOLL one year for warranty continuation. It's still on there now but very often goes flat if I don't remember to put the C-TEK on, but it's alright because the old (and much cheaper) Bosch covered in sawdust and spiders hidden in the corner of the garage always has enough power to make me think it'll shear off the starter pinion gear.
