991 GT3 RS Inflated Prices - Are They Selling???
Discussion
I know talking prices is a sensitive subject here, however I'm going to buck the trend and talk them DOWN!

The spreads on these 'flipped' cars is vast - circa £100K (madness). What price point are these things actually selling at?
£295K for LHD (or RHD for that matter) 991 GT3 RS - Seriously?????

Assume you tried to get one of the extra allocations ?
I did with no luck, but there'll be some more along soon. Absolutely stonking value at list and nothing to touch them. £50k over? Maybe but it would have to be a perfect spec RHD car for someone to deserve £50k overnight profit for basically doing nothing. £100k over? £150k over? Dream on. Nobody is buying it. There's no market for these cars at £250k+. Lots of them advertised for that, but no takers. It seems OPCs are now getting 3-4 more each, so there'll be a couple of hundred cars in the UK before we know it. Even if you can afford it, there's lots of other things you can do with £150k! Hope the madness ends soon.

Keep my fingers crossed for you - hope you get a car at list . FWIW , I think a v low mileage RHD car will fetch £K 225/250 all day long , for the simple reason at this level it competes with the Spez , 650 LT - much above or below this is unlikely - not saying the odd one will not go for more than this , but IMHO this will be the level where they start selling .

Thanks, let's see where it all end up. I get the price comparison with the other cars, but we all know how Porsche drip feeds these cars out, so while there's still a possibility of a car at list, it's a massive premium to pay to "have one now". Talking of comparative prices, no way, for example, these cars are worth more than a 997 RS 4.0L, even a LHD one, but I would say that......;-)
Enjoy your RS!
My OPC operated a strict first come first served policy based on LOI, worked for my 997GT3 (first new Porsche) and 991GT3RS. Sounds like not all OPCs operate the same way. LOI for the RS was lodged in 2010 mind!I had also been a customer for servicing/repairs with 911s since about 1995.

Many now view the letter of intent system as being essentially flawed and several OPCs have now scrapped this system in favour of other criteria.911OPA said:

I suspect your last line contradicts your first
Given you've been a customer for such a long time, I suspect when or the order in which you submitted your LOI's made little difference, and they just value you as a customer...which is nice.I suppose this thread was inevitable.
Time used to be this forum was about the cars!
When mine arrives on 2 Jan I will start a thread about what it is like to own and drive. Maybe we can have a few more threads like that. DT, Lord of the rings, etc, you must have cars already, why not put some threads up about those? Seriously, life is too short guys.

Obviously not too short for you to post on here with your view. We are all entitled to one. The cars I own are great, thanks for asking, but they are the same to own and drive as they were last week and the week before that so I'm at a loss as to what to write.
Hope you enjoy your RS when it comes.
