Hi guys.

Haven't used my 997s for a while and battery dead and needs changing. Haven't got time to drive to dealer and they won't come to me so wondered if anyone knows a mobile guy around Clapham in London?

Need the battery changed, that's all. Shouldn't be this hard.....

The AA do a mobile battery replacement service and you don't need to be a member.

Might be worth a look?

Bob at RGA in Vauxhall will put a Porsche approved one in for you. He did the same for me last month.

Thanks guys but I can't get into the boot because there isn't enough power to open the locks. Also I have no tools and fat fingers so would rather pay a professional.

If you look in the fuse box/manual in footwell there is a connector you pull out and attach a live jump lead to and the negative you attach to the door hinge and boot pops open hey presto! Loosen nuts on tray and battery itself job done. Really one of the easiest jobs in the world. Disappointing AA will not do this for you - may be take them up on their offer and drive down to your local OPC or Eurocarparts or the like?
