Hi folks,

My 'daily' is a 2003 996 C4S. It doesn't have the upgraded xenons and the standard headlamp bulbs are nothing short of bloody dreadful, they really are dangerously poor compared to modern headlamps. So ...... cant anyone recommend a suitable bulb upgrade without going down the HID route - I just want a direct replacement upgrade.

Thanks in advance :-)

Regards
Barry

I tried night breakers and Philips vision plus in my 996. They were better than standard but still not great.
In the end I went for 35w hids in 4300k and am really pleased with the result. The colour (4300k) is not blue white and the beam pattern seems fine with the projector lenses. No problem with MoT despite what the many scaremongers say.

Funny I was just thinking about headlights driving home from the gym tonight, mine has the headlight washers so I believe it has the liitronic/xenon a fitted, is there a better set of bulbs that can be fitted straight in that will improve on the brightness?

If you already have the xenons fitted your a lucky guy they are 100% better than the two candles watt coal miner lamps that are fitted as standard !
