Well, today my son and I travelled to London to see our beloved Chelsea play. We got off tube at Sloan Square to walk down to Stamford Bridge down the Kings Road. I now understand why, when I was looking to buy my Porsche 996 over the last 6 months a vast majority involved a journey to the London area. Crikey, how many Porsche per head of population are there in London !! Every other car was Porshe or Lambo or Bentley or AMG or R8. At the end of Kings road I thought ' that's it, I'm selling it they are too common - think I'll buy a Yaris instead- never saw a one !'

Don't know about that ! I don't think any motors down there are 'standard base models', lots were either turbo or 'S' . It was like the Gum-Ball rally.cool

Not sure if it's still true but the old AFN dealership which is now Porsche West London used to be the biggest volume OPC in the world.

I moved out of London last summer which prompted me to buy my first proper car in ten years last week. Having a Porsche in London is just bonkers. More so now than it was even ten years ago.

I recently rented a car space near Marble Arch for the day in an underground private car park. Every conceivable exotica down there, a white GT2 no plates, various iterations of 911, a 944, Ferrari's, Bentley, Aston and limousines. Most of which had never been touched in months by the dust.

They will be soon - even the non-turbo's will be turbo, so to speak
