Porsche996 key and alarm

Hi can anybody help me , my key fob stopped working the central locking so I changed the battery and it still didn't work so I just left it , the car has stood over the winter and now It will not fire up it just keeps turning over as if the immobiliser has kicked in ! Any ideas ? Thanks Andy

One of my keys no longer works the remote CL, still starts the car though so can't help, sorry.

Does this have anything to do with manually locking and unlocking as I know that if the car hasn't been used for a period (think it's 5 days) then you have to manually lock and unlock with the key in the door to re-activate it - ( sorry to state the obvious as I'm sure you're aware of that one).

does the light on the key flash?

My key didn't work very well, I ended up re soldering the joints on the pcb and all as well again.
