I've been told by OPC that the rear dampers on my 2008 997 1 turbo are shot and need replacing. They've gone soft essentially. Is there anyone who rebuilds these Bilsteins?

Thanks. Spoke to Bilstein. £80 per corner to dyno, rebuild and return them to the original factory settings. Pretty reasonable when the replacement cost is £800 per corner for new dampers.

There was a bit about this in EVO this month - I think it was Jethro Bovingdon talking about having the dampers on his 996 rebuilt - Bilstein as you have a factory doing just this, but he also mentioned that they will customise them for (iirc) £140 all in including the rebuild - might be worth thinking about if you want to alter them at all.
