I would personally go OPC - and try to use one of the Porsche owned ones if you can - Reading would be my preference.
Mine is coming up to 10 years old end of the year (7.1) and has FPSH and warranty. The 15 year rule means mine will continue to renew until 2021, so will stay in the dealer network.

TBH I have 15 cars most of which are appreciating. I use them all but as I don't work I have no commute so the mileage is mostly fun mileage and gets spread across the cars dependent on what I'm doing, where I'm going, the weather and my mood.
Anyway, how many miles isn't important, it's what kind of miles you do that counts. Hehe.

Is the car under warranty?
If maintaining value is of utmost importance a main dealer stamp and impeccable history is paramount. I think a big percentage of GT3's that sit outside of warranty are looked after by independent specialists. I know mine was. The newer Porsche's I have on my company fleet are all maintained at OPC's to ensure there are no warranty issues.

What's the 15 year rule? PS. Maintaining the car properly is of upmost importance. Nice if they appreciate but it's absolutely a coincidental bonus, not a driver. Belts, brake fluid etc was my concern about indies. None of them mentioned it when I rang them, the OPC did. Want it done properly.

Amen to your next sentence. Well I can recommend Mike at Sports And Classic, Knutsford, he looked after mine when I had it. You may know this, but he runs a GT3 himself and looks after quite a few others on here (Jack Wood's one of them) from memory. Maybe it's worth giving him a ring? He's very thorough and Porsche OPC trained.
If it's out of warranty and a keeper at least for now I don't think having it done at somewhere like Mike's would have much if any effect on it's value.

I'm sure the guys at Malton do a good job but from a history point of view, does it matter?
