Porsche 997 GT3 to Gallardo spyder

I'm thinking about changing my 2007 Porsche GT3 for a 2006/7 Gallardo spyder
Has anyone done a similar change. What are your opinions. I had a brief drive of one about 4 years ago. Will I be disappointed with the change. I've had my GT3 for 40 months now, and still love it.

never owned a GT3 but owned a 997 for 4 years, and had to decide between a GT3 and a G Spider as the replacement

Having test driven a GT3 my thoughts are

Pace wise won't be much different,

Attention wise the G wins

Feels Special, for me the G wins

Handling, nothing in it in terms of whats its capable of, but the GT3 will feel sharper and more communicative

I'm guessing your GT3 still feels quite tight and well held together? I've been around a few Gallardo's never owned one but been in a few and I think the Spyder suffers from scuttle shake. That for me would be enough to put me off. I think you've got arguably the sweet spot in the GT3 range. Good luck with your decision!

you get very black and white response too. in traffic on the M40 I had to do the roof up because of the abuse we were getting from some local numpties in a ford Mondeo.
