Major Service for 997 Turbo
Discussion
My turbo (2008) is up for a major service this year. The OPC is offering fixed pricing for the service (£695) and brake fluid change (£95). No prices for spark plugs are quoted in the info that they sent me. How much does it normally cost for a spark plug change at an OPC on a turbo? The car is low mileage (about 12k), so, for a car of this age and mileage, are there any other obvious things that might need doing and what would they be likely to cost?

I'd agree on £1100, had mine done in March, plugs & brake fluid change included
+1 £1100 inc vatWorth giving 9e a call though - heard they are a bit cheaper and even more diligent.
I'll be deciding whether to continue the OPC route or specialist by then Adam B said:

I just paid 1150 for a four year major service on a 2012 turbo including plugs, even specialists were quoting similar so no saving there.
Seems good value from an OPC, is that inc VAT? I paid my indy £768 inc VATr1flyguy1 said:

I'll be deciding whether to continue the OPC route or specialist by then My first major 40,000 mile service at OPC was £1100 inc vat. My last major service was free much to the annoyance of my local OPC. Porsche GB gave it to me as compensation for having to send 9e down to assess my blown turbo engine when OPC initially refused to give me a fresh engine under OPC warranty (some b
ks about driving the car too fast lol and a rev range 3). They did a u turn after 5 months as we went legal and reported them to the Financial Ombudsman.Think I'll use 9e for my next service having spent the princely sum of £23,000 over 8 years on the turbo with my local OPC only for them to fuss when it came to the first meaningful pay out. (Annual servicing rather than bi annual. That figure also includes £6k of warranty renewals and circa £5k on tyres).
As these cars get older Porsche AG tend to try and find any reason not to pay out in my experience.
Fully understood and I agree on the warranty side of things too.
What annoys me is when I asked the OPC to check the drivers seat (during the 111 point check/major service) as every time I brake there's a slight 'thud' in my back coming from what I assume is in the seat back somewhere, they wanted to first book it in at cost and if & only if they find an issue, they 'might' see if was covered by the warranty,..... Just like my pain in the ass rear view mirror that vibrates and drives me crazy when I drive on a shell grip type surface, they weren't interested in that at all
What does 9e charge for a boost leak check? Mines on 37k now might be worth a check whilst in warranty

Have to give thumbs up to 9e as well. Had my Spyder serviced there, not a scheduled one, but upon driving the car, I'm noticing that the door hinges have been greased, wiper arms, and little touches where you can tell there has been a lot of attention to detail. Never noticed that from main dealers before.
