If you haven't cleaned the car properly for a while, and you have a black finish, maybe a ceramic coating would be the ideal option. Once done, a quick wash is all you need, no more regular waxing and keeps the water beading for many months.

Try gtechniq, they have authorised detainers round the country. I used revolution detailing in Bristol, this was the result ,http://revolutiondetailing.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Porsche-991-C2S-9.jpg and lasted a couple of years before I had it reapplied.

Their stuff is pretty good. You might want to read a few of the stickies on here though: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/

Depending on how long it's been, chamois leather is out, mitts, microfibres, and the two-bucket method are in.

yes

I only use PB now for anything car cleaning/detailing related and they are fantastic - I cannot fault them in any way.

They do have more a focused selection of products compared with competitors (i.e. instead of having 50 different wheel cleaners, they'll stock 5) however I understand that they have tested and "approved" everything they sell and I've never been disappointed with a product they've provided.

I only use PB to buy stuff online and have called them to ask advice on polishing products etc and they were very helpful asking about age of car, paint colour, condition etc to tailor a product that would do the right job.

Web-site offers loads of helpful tips and advice as well

Very good outfit - it's a shame they are so far north in Jockland or I would take the car there for a detail

I use Poor Boys products and happy with the results (for the price). I detailed the 911 a few days back (It's Atlas Grey). Took a few hours of elbow grease, but it's worth it. (Clayed, polish, sealed and waxed):-
