997.1 C4S - Official Warranty Approved Battery?
Discussion
Hoping for some PH guidance...
On an absolutely cracking Monaco GP run last year the battery in my 997.1 C4S Cab decided to die somewhere in the Rhone Alpes. We found our way to Porsche in Grenoble who fitted what I assumed was the right battery for the car. Photo of the battery they fitted below. Didn't really think too much of it at the time.
Porsche Glasgow recently looked at the car and observed that the battery is NOT an official Porsche OEM battery and would need to be replaced for the official Porsche warranty to be extended.
I'm a little surprised that Porsche Grenoble didn't fit the right battery. Interested to hear whether there is some rationale here which helps explain things. Would ideally like to avoid buying a new battery if possible but will of course do so if it's necessary to extend the warranty
