991 GTS discount?
Discussion
I went to try a 991.2 S today and must admit was a bit disappointed
It was very fast - I have a C63 and this was much quicker
However it did lack a bit of a sense of occasion
I will not use it as a daily; purely for weekends but I have 3 little boys so I need rear seats
For a daily car a 991.2 would be great
For my needs, the GTS seems a perfect choice and I have a test drive of that booked next
My last 2 cars have been done through lease brokers; I hate the haggling aspect of car purchases. I dont even mind if there are no discounts, as no discounts will improve GFV
What you dont want is discounts but everyone but you gets them as thats worst of both worlds !
So long way of asking, if a car is on for £94k how much (if any) can I expect to get off
Thanks in advance

I understood your initial post. Obviously you were referring to a gen 1 GTS.
A few months ago I was contemplating ordering a gen 2 S. I took a test drive and was totally underwhelmed and I also ended up buying a GTS. Great car.
Always worth a little haggle. I don't think a couple of £K is too much to ask and see what the response is - although there aren't very many around to choose from.
Good luck.

Ah sorry!
Very dependent on the spec of the car, what it owes the dealer (this matters more than you think) and how long they have had it. Like all Porsche's GTS's are very spec sensitive. Personally I wouldn't buy one without the GTS interior (red or grey stitching with the alcantara) which was a £2.5k option. Quite a few of the GTS's on the market have been around for a while....the yellow one at JZM has been up for sale for a few months for instance. Given they are all still under the official warranty I wouldn't have a problem with buying from one of the specialists.
This one sold at Top 555 last week in less than 24 hours and was up for £99k

I would say broadly you should be able to get £1 or £2k off a car at an OPC, more if they have owned it for a while. I bought a 997 GTS from a dealer in March....I put a deposit down before they'd actually even got it into stock and got just under £2k off it. Clearly they'd obviously had decent money in it to discount it when it had only just hit their stock but it was a rare spec car (Manual C2 GTS not white or black!) and was exactly what I wanted and I didn't really haggle. In some ways that makes a dealer keen to do a deal as its easy money and they can move on, last thing you want as a dealer is to be looking at the same stock for weeks.

I went through this recently, fancied changing my 997GTS to 991GTS. Each one I took time to have a think about was sold in a few days. Now having got one, I can see why! Is it "better" than the 997? Not sure, but it is different and I prefer it. I have been on a couple of longish runs and it is nicer to drive, quicker, more responsive (this one has more options) and, thinking about it, is probably what I wanted from the 997 in the first place. Completely satisfied (until the new one comes along!). The good news is that these do seem to hold their prices, I had the 997 for 30 months and got back nearly what I paid for it - although the mileage was still low
This is very similar to the car I am looking when it arrives at OPC next week
Same colour and similar mileage and price
The main thing I wanted was the GTS interior, as it comes well spec'd as standard
Looking at this one is there anything the experts feel is missing?
