Okay so I get it. The 991 GT3 RS is the flagship model, uber exclusive and a very good car. Sold out of course and lots of angry people couldn't get one. Blah blah blah....

Many sold to speculators and prices jacked up ridiculously with most of those now sitting around unsold. So nothing we don't already know....

But has anyone actually started totting up just how many there are of these uber exclusive flagship cars laying around on dealer forecourts?

For starters:

Mobile.de - 90 (!!). (of which 29 listed in past two weeks)
Pistonheads (UK) - 29
Dubizzle (UAE) - 16

Okay sure some duplicates and old ads..... But still..... It's a brand new car, should still be rare as rocking horse turd.

And what kind of percentage does the global total look like vs. production numbers? Pretty crappy I imagine....

Not exactly great from a Porsche marketing perspective, surely the opposite of what's intended.... (And yes I'm well aware of the intended trickle down effect to the lesser models....). But that strategy of selling to only their most 'loyal' customers doesn't look so great now....

I didn't see the 'lots of angry people' bit. Looked like plenty were made. The 4.0 997 was much worse.
