Go Pro mounting location and with what?
Discussion
Hello,
So ive got a go-pro spin off (SJCAM 5000+) and trying to figure out where and how to mount it in the car;
1. I purchased an articulating arm ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371301633140?_trksid=p20...) if i dont screw it into the clamp and tighten it up off of the clamp it remains rigid, fix it onto the clamp and the clamp connector just loses its resistance and it goes limp
2. Ive tried using the handle bar clamp on the side of the bucket, cant get enough purchase as its just the tips of the jaws trying to grip, camera goes limp
3. Tried another type of clamp around the rear view mirror arm but the arms short and stubby and it interferes with the rvm, i can still see out of the rear but would like to see the middle of the crowns of both seats rather than slightly offset, plus the camera hangs down low
4. Then theres the windscreen mount which ive tucked up behind the RVM but the cameras now been turned 90 degrees.
Im not fussed about being able to see the speedo (probably a good job it cant as well ) but would the windscreen mount stand up to scrutineers on a track day? Its main use is primarily as am 'accident' camera but would be nice to get some track footage as well.
Thanks
