911 997.2 left brake light

Good afternoon chaps!

A few weeks ago I had a 'check right brake light' message, which turned out to be a blown bulb. Replaced and all was well. This morning I got in the car to find a 'check left brake light' message. So, down to the local 'fast food' car shop for a new bulb. Still doesn't work. Had a look at the fuse - all good. Rang the local independent who suggested doing a lock/unlock cycle of the car, and failing that remove the battery for 20 seconds to see if that would re-set things. Still no go!. Any ideas before I book it in?

I'm amazed it has a bulb for the brake light, TBH.

Assuming you mean a 997.2 (your profile also says 991), are you sure it isn't full of water?
