new 911 order - lead time
Discussion
About to order 991.2 C2, wondered if anyone has recently done same and what lead times were quoted? I've only made a couple of calls, one said several months another might have an unallocated slot for late Dec/Jan delivery. Will investigate more and then order this week.
Going for graphite blue and graphite blue/crayon interior, interested if anyone has that and any thoughts....Also the glass sunroof and then the usual bits...

I saw a 718 Boxster @ local opc which had your colour scheme & must admit it looked very smart, although I've ordered 718 Cayman in agate grey ( yes I know .. boring!) with cream leather seats & agate grey leather interior...........Going for graphite blue and graphite blue/crayon interior, interested if anyone has that and any thoughts....Also the glass sunroof and then the usual bits...

Agate is gorgeous. Hey I wanted the Miami blue really, we all talk ourselves out of things!

Pretty sure Hatfield has got this combo on a display C2S and it looks stunning. I think it's the pick of the non-PTS palette.Edited by marky999 on Tuesday 25th October 09:19
I'm no fan of sunroofs, particularly the one with the huge glass (or is it plastic) panel - it takes up area that should be painted that beautiful blue. A crayon interior doesn't need brightening up.

Though I have a history of choosing Agate and its fellow traveller greys, having looked at the Hatfield car I went for Graphite and the Graphite two tone interior .Edited by marky999 on Tuesday 25th October 09:19
The glass roof may be good for resale but for structural and weight reasons I don't like it plus it may be the source of squeaks and creaks. Car due Jan 2017.

The Hatfield car has buckets too! Lovely looking car.
Indeed and very tempting but OPC DP and SM both surprisingly negative and felt buckets severely limited the marketability. I think buckets in crayon could be tricky to keep clean as with the best will in the world its difficult not to scuff the side bolsters of bucket seats.Photo is the Hatfield car. Apologies for the quality but it was taken in mid summer with light streaming into the showroom.

Agreed, just been playing on the configurator and it does not need the roof, high gloss surround looks ace:
Does look good! The high gloss surround its the aluminium around the windows? I like it, when doing original spec I wasn't sure if it looked too old fashioned. Maybe classic is more the word...lowndes said:

I think it highlights the shape of the window and the car, will definitely spec on my next one.lowndes said:
