New Tyres for 997 - Price- PS2 - PS4 - any deals?

Anyone got any good deals recently on Michelins?

currently PS2 all round and 16,000 miles out of them

Do I wait for the PS4? Do they even make 997 rears in the PS4

Do I go non Michelin? although I have no probs with them?

I don't need a N rating

Somebody very generous basically gave me some winter tyres for my rears. Pirelli Sottozero II with about 80% tread on them.

Nice gift as they are £290 each.

It's less than 7 Celsius up here in Cumbria until at least Easter, so they are on the rears. I am praying for snow !

Next question: Anybody put Pilot Sport 4 on the fronts of their 997 ? It seems there isn't a PS4 in the rear 295 width yet (for me in April)

I'm no expert but I would seriously re-consider mixing summer and winter tyres at the same time on any car, let alone a 997.

Keep an eye on CostCo, every few months they do multi-but deals on Michelins.

I'm not Joking, ask your OPC.

Needed 2 new rears on my 981 12mths ago. About to pull the trigger with BlackCircles (cheapest I could find for N rated at the time) but decided to wait until after car was serviced at local OPC.

Joked with OPC Service Manger he'd charge £££'s for tyres. Not anymore, says they're losing too much business to other tyre firms so don't charge silly premiums anymore.

OPC fitted 2 rears during the service for £10 a tyre cheaper than I could get anywhere else. They weren't even price matching, I hadn't mentioned prices I'd been quoted elsewhere.

I'm running Pirelli Sottozero II winters on the rears for traction for a month or so more, minus 3 this morning driving to work. I have put new Michelin PS4s on the fronts.

Yes yes about mixing summer/winter, but I'm not doing the Nordschlief, I can deal with the front washing out a bit.

PS2 on the rear from either Costco or maybe the OPC when the ambient goes above 7C

You are surely joking, noone on PH runs a Porsche as a daily driver especially in the winter - you is crazy man, that is what the snotter is for

Well last year's choice was 997 ONLY, run it daily, near max fun all the time

Or

Ariel Atom (or similar) PLUS VW Polo BlueGT.... Occasional supramax fun, with boredom the rest of the time
