BIL is just back from a driving experience day, raving about a GT3RS he'd just driven.
Trying to fathom 997 or 991 I asked was it paddle shift? He replied "buttons on steering wheel".
Then posted this onto FaceBook:-

Despite it clearly saying GT3RS down the door, surely that's a 997.1t/tip?

Looks like a gen 1 997 turbo (tip, if it had buttons)

Other clue (it's not a GT3RS) is the rear seats

Another photo from google

....still would be great fun to drive a 911 turbo on a track.

Ok, I take it back. But who would put GT3 stickers on a turbo?

I'm not sure I'd be that happy if was promised a GT3RS and got a ride in a 9971 Turbo tip... but imagine how he might feel when he actually got a ride in an RS!

Just re-read this and realised it was an "experience day" WTF ?!?! Surrely loads of people that go must rumble it.

turbo vents in the rear arches.

only the 991 GT3 RS has those. that is 997 shape. plus the 991 RS has the front wing vents.

no rear cage either is a give away, as is the lack of carbon rear wing.

looks gash to me

To be fair they don't specify.

Choose from the following cars; Ariel Atom, Aston Martin, Audi R8, Bentley, BMW i8, Caterham, Ferrari, Jaguar F-Type, Lamborghini, Nissan GTR, Porsche, a Rally Car, Single Seater.

It seems like one of those cheaper than cheap 'experience' days when you get to experience standing round a cold airfield for hours on end before having 3 min in a knackered old car.
