911,, 997 C2S 3.8 2005 with 69k,, and full service history, no expense spared by former keepers, is it worth getting a independent warranty , going to do about 3K a year,

Still eligible for official Warranty; stick with that??

It completely depends on your attitiude to risk. I am sure you know what the main risk is and if it has been cared for in the manner you say, that is of course a good thing, but it apparently has little impact on when these failures occur. Its fairly random.

I would get it on the Hartech plan myself. But others may disagree!

If I was buying the car I would want to know full details of what work if any has been undertaken already in particularly relative to the well known issues.

You say the car has been well maintained so presumably there is history so it shouldn't be difficult to make further appropriate enquiries.
