Colourful centre lock nuts GTS
Discussion
I saw a GT3 with red centre lock nuts yesterday. It looked very nice.
My GTS CLs are starting to corrode a bit, or at least go dull. I am pondering whether to see if I can either get them anodised black or replaced with some black ones. I might then go full chav and put Porsche decals along the sides.
I am not ever sure whether Porsche sells coloured nuts, though I cannot help but feel they will be extortionately priced if they do.
Anyone any knowledge here?
Mine were looking tatty so I had them anodised in red, didn't cost a lot but can't remember the exact figure right now, about £150-£180 for all four I think. New from Porsche were about £600.00.
I was going to buy some new ones but thought I'd give it a try first and it came out well.
Not sure about the caps matching the wheels yet, might change to black ones.

They look from that snap like a painted type finish, rather than a typical anodised look. Or is that just the photo?I was going to buy some new ones but thought I'd give it a try first and it came out well.

You could try these BJV Engineering in Herts id thats convient for you.

They have a very good reputation when it comes to wheel refurbishing and according to that link can paint other items.
I think you need to be careful what you wash your wheels with and where you get them washed...I'd avoid "hand car washes". We have a Mk V GTi which has diamond cut wheels....BJV refurbed them and told me to avoid said hand car washes...apparently the chemicals most use to clean wheels etc are meant for Lorries and destroy the laquer on diamond cut wheels and have a similar effect on anodised metal.

Is that a GT3 or aero kit splitter. Been toying with the idea of adding something to my GTS. What's involved in doing it? Sorry for thread creep....
OEM aero kit splitter, fits the GTS fine. Unclip the old one and fit the new one, very easy. I do believe they only come in grey primer though so you will have to paint it first. It's not the unfinished plastic like the GT3.The GT3 splitter will only fit the GT3 bumper.
