996 Gen 2 Bi-Xenon Headlights RHD to LHD Conversion

Hello All,
I wonder if anyone can help. I am looking to register my '04 C2 in Germany. The only issue it had last week at the TUV was the head lights. Although I had altered these via the tourist setting on the light itself, unfortunately that is not sufficient as the curb is not lit using this setting. The change simply creates a flat beam in order not to dazzle oncoming traffic.
Has anyone carried out this conversion before in a way which does not entail purchasing a new set of lamps from Porsche at a whopping £4,300??!! At that sort of money its just not worth it.
That said, I have got so close on this and it would be a shame to abandon my plans because of the headlights.
Does anyone have a set of LHD units I can purchase at a reasonable cost or have any tips on how I may convert my original units? I appreciate they are sealed units and that Hella does not supply the lens & shutter to the public (I know because I have asked) but perhaps there is a way. Does the unit share the lens with another vehicle, BMW, Audi etc?
Its a very specialist question I know but any help or tips would be much appreciated.
