Hi All,

I think I have settled on a 2013+ 991 Turbo S and my next car (after many months of faffing!). There are about 35 available on Autotrader but most of them are black (with a few white for good measure). I am not opposed to black as it looks pretty mean but I think I would really like something a little more interesting (wont do another white car!).

So where are all the more interesting colours? Even if I go up to the top level on pricing there aren't many more exciting colours available, unless I am missing something. Doesn't have to be orange or manta green but a nice red or blue or crayon maybe..........

Cheers!

Sorry can't help you locate a car.....

However to wet your appetite even more, have a photo of this beauty owned by a friend on the IOM.

I had the same problem when I was searching! So many black and white cars, people didn't have a lot of imagination!! Same for spec too, not many high spec cars!

There appears to be a few more on the Porsche locator this week. If you can stretch to a .2, the midnight blue car looks nice...

I eventually gave up and ordered a new car in crayon, with some nice black accents. I think that colour suits the the Turbo S.

Good luck!

Buy one in a resale friendly colour and get a wrap done in whatever hue you fancy, protected paint into the bargain which is a win. I may go down this route when I get another porker in a few years time.. Just make sure the company doing the wrap is a good one

I dont know much about wrapping a car, always seemed like a dodgy thing to do especially with a car of this value! Like I say though I know very little about the process so might just be being really ignorant!

A lot of the top VLoggers into wrapping, doing it on expensive cars - Lambos, Ferrari's. Even 918's.

Still a bit dubious about it to be honest. Read it can ruin the paint when you remove the vinyl & they are very hard to keep clean.
That was a couple years ago but I guess the technology has moved on, maybe it's OK now.

Does look great. On a Turbo S if I was looking at new/nearly new I'd be very tempted to go PTS....there are some great colours without going for the really bright ones like Voodoo blue etc. And let's face it at Turbo S money it's only another couple of % on the price !

The way they allocate build slots is bizarre...even when you do get one it can still vary by two or three weeks. The system the OPC's work off seems pretty random...it is possible for the sales guys to get more accurate updates by ringing someone in Porsche GB up. That's what the OPC salesman I use does.

I would say for August build you should know pretty soon.

My sales guy has been pretty good to be fair, just hope he's doing what he can!

I've got my Porsche experience invite, so that's one good thing I guess!!!

I was lucky to drive the official porsche press demonstrator 991.1 turbo S and that had the most unusual spec... red with adjustable buckets and cage... I initially wanted to tell them they gave me the wrong car.. biggrin

I really like this one but it feels a bit like we are nearly at new prices, just not sure I could deal with the several month waiting time........
