Hi, in the category of 1st world problems my 996 C4 was doing 160 on an autobahn when the rear windscreen wiper suddenly flipped up and over, presumably unable to withstand the airstream at that speed. It then waved about wildly. After stopping I was able to flip it back over into position.

It was not wiping the screen when it happened by the way.

Has anyone else had that problem? Any thoughts about it happened and how to prevent it happening again?
Chris.

Never happened to me in a few 996s at higher speeds than that. Maybe the spring is faulty if it's the standard wiper.

The spring, the spring. Of course.
Thank you.

You'd have been doing 165 without the drag of that wiper..... biggrin

Now looking for a replacement spring. Replacement blade assembly is £142.
