Gen 2 ,997.2S fuel pump problem

Good morning guys.
While out in my 2010 997 2s yesterday the reduced power light came on.
Car did struggle slightly to start yesterday and a bit of googling seems to point to the
Fuel pump.
I also found out that there was a recall,but not sure if my car has had this done.
Can anybody tell from this print out?
Also does anyone know cost of new pump ?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Just replaced mine recently. High pressure fuel pump part number P9A1.110.315.FX was £374.99 +vat on an exchange basis on it's own, which was discounted. There are some other parts that are recommended for the job as you should have to remove part of the cooling system to access the Hpfp. I have the full list if required. I managed without touching be cooling system but required to remove most of the exhaust and rear bumper for access. doing this but it takes a bit of patience and fiddling with the orientation.

Parts supplied by my local OPC. They tend to be quite reasonable on their prices even beating some of the internet suppliers depending on what it is I'm ordering. Pump is unlikely to be in stock but I was only 2 working days from ordering. Check your exhaust bolts if they are bad then that's more work and may need a bit of heat. If you decide on taking the coolant pipes apart you'll need coolant as well. Allow a full day for the work, took me about six hours, first time round.

Forgot to say I would always recommend a diagnostic by Porsche to confirm the fault, the Internet can send you in lots of directions

I know this thread is old, but I have a similar issue with my 2010 C4S.

I'm seeing two codes on my reader: P0441 & P1026. The former is related to the EVAP system, the latter is a Porsche specific code seemingly related to the fuel pump.

Any idea if its worth replacing things like the Purge Valve first or go straight to the HPFP?

I've checked my car was not on the recall list for the Fuel Pump replacement in 2011. There's only 22K miles on my car though, which seems pretty premature for failure.

It'll be interested to see if I can find one in these days of lockdown, but I need my car to help parents at the moment!

In the end mine got done under warranty.
Definitely I would want Porsche or good specialist to investigate before
starting to spend money as has been mentioned further up the thread.
The pump was a well known weak spot and if I remember correctly there
was a recall and Porsche updated .
Well worth seeing if your car has had the update .

You're right I had checked the recall situation, and it wasn't listed. Though, I'm guessing that the Porsche Recall search only covers current recalls, and its just possible that the FP had already been replaced when it was recalled in 2011, but I don't have any record that it was on the documentation I've got. And the OPC's aren't open at the moment to check!

I may call a mobile Porsche engineer I know of, and see if he can help.
