So stuck in a traffic jam yesterday. Temp got higher than usual. Same happens if I drive the car hard.

No warning signs or anything. Is this normal on the DFI engine? I realise its an open deck design so this is probably normal. I very rarely drive the car.

My Turbo reacted similar in traffic yesterday, was wondering the same. I'm now hoping so!

54mph traffic? Lucky your passenger took the picture, right? spinspin

Thats just as we took off. Hmm my 997.1 turbo never does this hence the question.

I don't think it is.

I have seen high oil temps after sustained high speeds. I haven't noticed it in normal use.

Yes at sustained high speed I've seen it go up to the mark just below where it is in the pic. I suppose this must be normal stuck in a 30 min traffic jam on M25 whilst also being a very warm Summers day smile

Interesting that it may not be an open deck design. After running at 70mph for 10 miles or so it returned to the 90 degree mark.

My turbo may have been marginally lower. It cooled within just a mile of higher speed driving.

Low speed fans definitely working? start car, turn on air con and listen around the front. IF not, likely to be a ballast resistor failure.

Rads both clear? (as in, have you cleared the gap between rads and the aircon rads recently)? ambient temps have been up, this can also be a culprit.
