I've had BMW 840 then four 6 series convertibles and thinking about a Porsche for the first time - what do you think of this?

Anything i should be aware of? Is there a model I should consider ahead of this instead? I don’t need the highest performance level.

Around that price you’re into Gen II models with the more reliable DFI engine, which is the better option for peace of mind.
Nice car but there’s others in the classifieds with lower mileage which is where I’d be inclined to go.
This looks nice (if you like the colour)

They’re great cars, pretty reliable and great to peddle...enjoy the search!

Both above are Gen II yes, was just pointing out to definitely only look at Gen II around the £40k mark.
Just to add....I have an Aqua Blue coupe.....it’s a fantastic colour, really pops in the sunshine and does stand out from the silvers / greys etc....but can be a pig to keep clean.

I pop in there every now and again. Are they the part ex's from Porsche at Ferndown ? I just felt on occasion they could put a bit more effort into the showroom / forecourt appearance of their cars ie sorting out the scuffed alloys etc. It sounds daft but it put me off buying there, perhaps things have improved in the respect.

I think they have quite a lot of sale or return cars and they won't spend any money on real prep until they've agreed a sale on these. Mine went for such a low price that I don't think it was subject to any prep at all in the end (not that there was anything significantly wrong with it to start with).
