How tough is a Jade Interior to sell?
Discussion
Looking at my first foray into porsche ownership and looking for a convertible tip (yes, the worst one possible i know)
Seen this one on ebay which meets most of my requirements - except the interior!

Thinking i could tone it down a bit by replacing the seats and steering wheel with black versions and some black carpet mats - but i guess this won't be cheap?
I'm likely to keep the car for a couple of years as i get bored easily and whilst resale value is not number 1 priority, i also don't want to buy the jade elephant that no onw wants

I think it's fair to say, it's definitely a "marmite" interior colour and it would be a very small group who'd want to buy it in the future based on the colour. I'd also suggest at this time of year the dealer could be stuck with the car until the spring and hence if you want to buy it, negotiate very hard I.e. At least £1k off the quoting price and if it comes with the factory hardtop, all the better.
I'd also suggest you also consider the need to travel to see a few as there's a number advertised at lower prices and try the likes of the Car and Classic forum and 911uk.

You surely haven't seen 944 interiors on some models :-)
I could live with Jade, but would tone most of it down. One way is wrap some of the interior components, simple & cheap, effective & reversible. It may even be possible to dye the leather seats black or whatever.
Must admit grey is a bit 'john major' for me ;-)

That interior really hurts my eyes..but then it's 911! Think I could put up with it to own a 911. In reality the car would have have sensational spec/provenance/price to make me take the plunge. If it's a keeper and you can come to terms with it then yes. However, come resale time you will be limiting your potential market somewhat. Chap in my village has this interior but with the similar green shade of exterior! Brave choice! It does make me smile whenever I see him/it

) I say 'because it was an early spec, black, manual ,coupe with black interior. It wasn't some gash silver cab with an auto box and green interior'
