Undecided over whether to go for Club Sport option on my soon to lock GT3 spec.

As it stands I’m thinking folding buckets but no CS as I doubt that the car will be tracked.

Has anyone speccd CS then removed the cage I’m told this is possible but wondered if anyone had actually done this and if it’s worth all the faffing about just to have a CS car come sale time.

Just spec it how you want it, be a right mess taking a cage out imo.

Please spec clubsport for the future track day users who missed out on a GT3. No point reducing the already limited GT3 slots into pseudo-GTS cars.
(imho, porsche should be clearer with the product - comfort buyers need GTS not GT3)

lol I think you may be right smile

The number of posts in the last few days about insurance, spec, roll cages, etc with comments like 'I do not intend to track...' all serve to highlight that Porsche has build a track going road car and then sold it to a broader audience - may be people who previously bought lots of Panameras, etc, and hence are excellent customers of the brand - but not looking to use as intended (but do want the best resale spec). The appreciating values of the car means its makes a whole lot of sense to take up a slot if offered even though you have no intention of using on circuit.

...I know, I'll upset a few people, and yes a tad of sour grapes perhaps. Though my sour grapes are less about not getting a car but more about having less choice later on in the used market.

Just spec the car how you want it. There’s such a vast array of specs on these cars that there will always be buyers for them.

I’m not sure I’d want even an OPC pulling out a cage on a brand new car.

The folding buckets are a great seat!

Not only less choice either for CS but, because of rarity, potentially greater outlay too.
