Both 991.2 GTS and T owners have been upside surprised with how good their cars turned out, particularly coupe buyers.

Some of these are coming from past Gt3s, R8s a few maclarens etc.

Was wondering why that is, could be the combinztion of the good things about a turbo without as manynof the negatives as were feared.

I certainly have been astounded by how good they are, and have been dissappointed by turbos in past - M4 and M5, 911TTs.

Also GTS drivens have been surprised how rapid they are.

Saw this chart today and explains the rapid part amazing how muxh more useable power this thing has than a GT3!

Assuming that you keep it under 6000.

Making the 911 more usable more of the time, but less exciting when pedalling on does make the talents of the car more accessible to the broad car-buying public. And yes, a turbo engine (particularly as good an implementation as Porsche’s) will be more immediately impressive, and might reveal that a lot of previous owners weren’t pushing their cars all that often. For those that did, I’d imagine the assessments might not be so enthusiastic.

Am I correct in assuming the graph shows the GTS in "normal" mode, no turbo overboost or Sport/Sport+ engine mapping?

991.2 GTS is a perfect daily car imo

The 991 models while NA were not enough of an event to be classed as a fun car and eps in them was a bit crap.

No reason not to dislike the 991.2GTS and I would take one hands down over a 911 T or a GT3 T.

991.2GTS and Exige 430cup for the week ends sounds a good 2 car garage.

its a stock unmodified GTS engine but i dont know which setting its in perhaps dynos flatter turbo engines as they allow the pressure to always be optimal?

to above comment yes but i dont think many GT3s spend that much time above 6.5k revs on the road so thats more for the % of GT3 owners regularly tracking their cars

Interesting diversity of opinion on .1 vs .2! I stumbled across a manual review of the new GTS by TheGetawayer on youtube. It may have been the manual transmission which threw him off the scent but might be worth having a look (hope no breach of forum rules here): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxLtBQOXdjI

This is wheel bhp so the drivetrain losses get higher with rpm. The gt3 engine does likely peak higher...how much im not sure.
