Blue 997.1 GT3 at ashgood

I presume they have fixed the splitter and what looks like a continuation of the scuff just onto to pu. I hadn't spotted the last two of the services being at 3 years. That's very annoying!!
Unfortunately as I posted in another thread, my phone call yesterday to them didn't en enamour me of them. That followed the previous call which was not answered and the message not returned. In fact the chap I spoke to was a complete arse! But they seem to be liked here and it's the car that's important.

I am indeed! I will have a budget that will just about stretch to a 997.1 So I have a choice of 996 or 997. I've owned a 6RS before and driven several 996.2 GT3s. So I know what they are about although that is a few years ago.
I've not driven a 997GT3 but kind of want that to be the answer. Much nicer cabin and it's a big dull to go back to what you had before. Although the common criticism aimed at the
997.1 GT3 is that it is too fast. By that I'm guessing you need to be going too fast on the road for the fun to arrive!
So I'm in the market, need to drive the 997 to make up my m mind.

Bert,
Apologies for the way you feel you have been treated, I have spoken Paul and he mentioned you were not ready to buy just yet and wanted to sell a few cars to fund the GT3. We have been very short staffed with people being on holiday and also chaos with the new storage / showroom being built, so sorry for that part.
I will be back in the office week on Monday should you wish to come and test drive the 997.1 GT3 during the week, give me a call /text direct, not looking for any intention on your behalf to buy, not a problem if funds not in place or not ready to buy just yet just come for a chat and a test drive. Hopefully I can show you were are not that bad
The Cobolt Blue GT3 has only just been advertised for sale in the last week or so, we have had a back log of work in the prep of cars, Alloys arrived back from full refurb last week and its just had new springs die to corrosion on them (OEM), new tyres and now 4 wheel alignment / geo. Front end was quite stone chipped so we have painted the front end and of course replaced the front splitter (paint shop colour coded the new one but I prefer the black). Taken about 4 weeks to get ready for sale event though advert and photos were taken as soon as the car came physically into stock.
As much as I have a soft spot for earlier cars I did own a 997.1 GT3 myself for a few years and sold it to buy a GT4, which didn't happen unfortunately, but since selling a few GT4 via Ashgood they are very different and I'm possibly kicking myself for selling my car (Speed Yellow CS). I think the 997.1 GT3 is one of those Porsche that need top be owned at some point.

Not sure Burt but it wasn’t a huge number. Quite a few specied with the carbon buckets but not that many genuine clubsports - wghich is strange as it’s only the cage that’s different. The harnesses and extinguisher came boxed but unfitted. Weirdly my car (club sport) never had either fitted by the original owner. They are still boxed!
